Harold Fethe draws on a wide range of experience for his current ventures as a consultant, writer, designer and musician. At ALZA Corporation — an S&P 500 company that was merged into healthcare giant Johnson and Johnson — Harold served as Senior Vice President, responsible for ALZA’s human resources, facilities, real estate, security, and other corporate functions. He invented the powerful and intuitive graphical user interface for the Visual 360® performance appraisal system, now available from SumTotal Systems, and managed the completion and occupancy of ALZA Plaza — three towers in Silicon Valley totaling nearly a half-million square feet. He now serves as principal in his own consulting venture, writes for a wide range of publications and projects, and performs as a jazz and rock guitarist.

Harold's trio, including guitarist Jeff Buenz and bassist Rich Girard, will appear at Bleu Ginger August 1, beginning at 7pm. On August 10, Harold will play at the San Jose Jazz Festival, beginning at 4pm. Festival venues are still in play, so the location will be announced here soon.
David and Hi-Jin Hodge, with whom Harold has collaborated for over five years, have a new website for their video art and documentaries.
Harold is featured in an upcoming video about an R&B and jazz club called Sarah’s, where newly-desegrated bands and audiences met to enjoy live music during the early Civil Rights era in the mid-1960s.
